Doumbek Happy Hour

First Wednesdays, 7-8pm  Fun with the goblet drum!  Native to the Mediterranean, Middle East & North Africa, this instrument has a pleasing, melodic sound.  All levels; ages 12+   ($5 donation; Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6, Dec. 4)

Moroccan Drum & Dance

Second Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm  Are you in it for the workout?  Movement & music are integrated in this session, providing a whole-body sensory experience as we weave enchanting North African polyrhythms.  You’ll encounter an array of new percussion instruments, small to large, and gain a true “feel” for popular styles: Gnawa, Jebala, Aissawa, Dakka, and Chabbi.  Ages 12+  ($10 donation; Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11)

Junior Doumbek Hour

Third Wednesdays, 6-7pm  A monthly drumming club for the kids!  What do we do with music?  Play it!  This mixed-skill session invites our next generation of drummers to have fun playing in a group.  Best for ages 7+  ($5 donation; Sept. 18, Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Dec. 18)
